Abu Dhabi to be News Corp HQ (Straits Times)
ABU DHABI - NEWS Corp chief Rupert Murdoch announced on Tuesday that the Gulf emirate of Abu Dhabi is to become the headquarters of his global media empire in the Middle East. Addressing some 400 delegates at the opening of the Abu Dhabi Media Summit, Mr Murdoch said his corporation had started out as a small Australian firm to become a US-based international company that employs 64,000 people.

(RTTNews) - The Australian dollar that slumped to a 2-day low of 1.4968 against the euro and 0.9116 against the US dollar around 10:10 pm ET Wednesday reversed its direction shortly. As of 11:50 pm, the aussie traded higher at 1.4928 against the euro and 0.9145 against the greenback.

(RTTNews) - Thursday morning in Asia, the Aussie edged down as a report from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed that the nation's employers added fewer workers in February than economists forecast. The Aussie slipped to a 2-day low against the greenback, euro and the loonie.
